Proportional Representation + Single Transferable Vote

Quota

Electoral quota = (Valid votes ÷ 2) + 1

Election Counting – Simplified Example

  1. MLA & MP vote values calculate.
  2. Candidatesக்கு first preference votes add.
  3. Quota meet பண்ணா → elected.
  4. இல்லனா lowest candidate eliminate; vote transfer.
  5. Repeat till quota met.
